Prior to starting the Intensive (where you will participate in Brainspotting & EMDR), we will meet for a pre-intensive interview to determine your specific goals during the time we will have. We will review things such as your current stressors, support system, coping skills, self-care, and decide the areas you want to see relief and healing.
During the Intensive we will work on decreasing the emotional pain you are experiencing while simultaneously increasing your ability to connect to more positive feelings, healthy thoughts, and memories.
Brainspotting & EMDR provide an opportunity for deep-level brain processing while allowing you to learn the coping strategies that work best for you.
Depending on your life circumstances and your goals, we might spend time processing relationship conflict, past or present trauma and stressors, or your anxiety regarding a future event. Treatment is customized to your goals and needs.
After the Brainspotting & EMDR Intensive, we will meet for a post-intensive interview to discuss what you processed and experience, what you learned and how you can apply new insights and perspectives into your life so that you can continue to move forward.

Let me show you how intensive therapy is more effective and efficient than weekly therapy:
Weekly therapy typically includes:
10-15 minutes checking in
20-30 minutes of EMDR processing
10-15 minutes closing
If you spend a month working on one specific issue, this will cost around $600 for the 4 weekly sessions.
Things come up between sessions and maybe you don’t always want to work on processing, so the focus each week could potentially shift.
Because of this, people are usually in weekly therapy for several months, (hundreds of dollars!) and still don’t feel like things are completely resolved.
Intensive therapy typically includes:
10-15 mins checking in and establishing the area of focus for the session
180-240 minutes of EMDR processing
10-15 mins closing the session
You could potentially fully address one or multiple stressors within half a day, which would cost around $650. Keep in mind that 2-3 hours of EMDR processing is equal to DOUBLE the same amount of traditional talk therapy sessions. You are doing more work in a shorter amount of time. While there are no guarantees, you most likely end up needing less therapy overall after this!
You reach a place of healing and peace, sooner.
You don’t have to worry about weekly copays for medication management or babysitters so you can come to therapy. You don’t have to request as much time off work.
